OUR STORY, DESIGN & PURPOSE
SUSTAINABLE ELEGANCE MEETS EXCEPTIONAL DESIGN
Founded by Nikki Burns, Modern Coastal Living is a family-run, design-led furniture retailer specialising in refined indoor and outdoor spaces for residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
Based on the Dorset coast, Modern Coastal Living was shaped by a lifelong connection to the sea and a belief in thoughtful, responsible design. We curate contemporary furniture for homes, terraces, restaurants, hotels and design-led commercial environments.
As an authorised Vondom retailer, we work with collections created in collaboration with internationally recognised designers, combining Mediterranean design, sculptural form and advanced manufacturing.
We support private clients, architects, interior designers and hospitality professionals with product selection, materials, finishes, specification, quotations and delivery, providing a considered point of contact throughout the project.
Our approach to sustainability is grounded in durability, transparency and responsible material choices. Across selected Vondom collections, materials include recyclable polyethylene and polypropylene, aluminium, performance fabrics and wood sourced from FSC-certified forests where specified. Selected Vondom Revolution products incorporate recycled plastic materials where specifically confirmed by the manufacturer.
For us, Modern Coastal Living is about more than where you live. It is about creating considered spaces through enduring design, meaningful materials and furniture chosen to last.
Beautiful design with purpose. Crafted to last.
Play your part — help protect our seas.
