Sustainability with Purpose

Sustainable elegance, shaped by the sea.

At Modern Coastal Living, sustainability is not an addition to the design process, it informs the choices we make. From the materials we specify to the manufacturing partners we work with, our approach is centred on material integrity, durability, responsible sourcing and furniture designed for a long life.

Our Eco Luxury Philosophy

Eco luxury, to us, means creating beautiful spaces through thoughtful design, responsible material choices and transparency. We bring together internationally recognised designers, Mediterranean craftsmanship and durable materials to offer furniture that is visually distinctive, technically considered and made to perform.

Materials vary between collections, so product specifications identify the composition of each piece, including recycled content where applicable, recyclable materials and responsibly sourced elements. This allows homeowners, architects, interior designers and procurement teams to make informed specification decisions.

Responsible Manufacturing

We work closely with Vondom, a leading Spanish manufacturer recognised internationally for contemporary Mediterranean design and advanced furniture production.

Vondom operates under ISO 9001 quality management standards and the ISO 14001 environmental management system. These frameworks support structured processes for quality control, waste reduction, efficient resource use, pollution prevention and continual environmental improvement.

Materials used across the collections include recyclable polyethylene, polypropylene, powder coated aluminium and FSC certified wood. Selected Revolution finishes incorporate recycled plastic blends, including post consumer and ocean bound plastic where confirmed within the relevant product documentation.

Recycled content does not apply to every product or finish. Material composition is therefore stated at product level, helping clients specify accurately and with confidence.

Eco design principles are considered throughout product development, with a focus on durability, efficient material use and the potential for appropriate materials to be recycled at the end of their useful life.

Thoughtful Packaging & Logistics

Sustainability extends beyond the furniture itself. Packaging is designed to protect products during transit while avoiding unnecessary material use wherever practical.

For larger installations, hospitality schemes and multi product orders, we aim to consolidate deliveries wherever possible. This can help reduce repeat journeys, limit unnecessary packaging and support more efficient project coordination.

Designed to Last

Furniture with a longer useful life can reduce the need for frequent replacement. Our collections are selected for durability, structural stability and their ability to perform across demanding residential, hospitality, commercial and wellbeing environments.

Timeless form, considered construction and robust materials sit at the heart of our approach. The objective is not simply to furnish a space, but to specify pieces that retain their relevance and function over time.

Inspired by the Coast

The coast has always influenced the way we think about outdoor living. It inspires our aesthetic, our appreciation of natural materials and our commitment to protecting the environments that shape the places we love.

Selected Revolution finishes incorporate recycled plastic blends, including post consumer and ocean bound plastic where confirmed by the manufacturer. Where recycled materials are used, they are clearly identified within individual product specifications.

As a proud Company Member of the Marine Conservation Society, we support its work to protect UK seas and reduce the impact of marine plastic pollution. Caring for the coastline is part of who we are and continues to influence the values that shape Modern Coastal Living.
